OPTION CUBE PANEL

Put your favourite wall panel on each side.
We can custom-make your idea for the walls of the cube to make your perfect room.
The following options are available for walls.

●Shoji Door Panel
H1800 xW930 x T30 (1 panel)
Two sliding shoji screens can be placed on one side. They can be left closed to create an enclosed space, or compacted in on one side using two slisding rails to create an open space.
Shoji can be used for one wall (2 shoji screens) or all walls (8 shoji screens). It can also be used for ceiling shoji panels.

●Latticed door
H1800 xW930 x T30 (1 panel)
The vertical wooden lattice creates a beautiful silhouette.
It can be used as a movable design wall or as two sliding doors.

●Grid Wall
H1800 x W1800 x T45 (assembled)
The grid wall is a series of panels that can be placed on the wall to decorate the Cube in a way that suits you.
There are so many ways to use this wall, from braided wall decorations to LED lighting to bookshelves.
If you would like a bespoke piece, we can make it to your specifications.

How do you assemble Nagomi Cube?

1. Lay the base frame. If you have floor panels, run them over first to make it easier to get the right angle.
2. Erect the jambs. Connect the base frame to the columns using the fittings provided.
3. Connect the beam frame to the jambs. It is recommended that two people work together when connecting the frames to the fittings.
4. Insert the wall panels of your choice into the rails of the upper and lower frames. They are movable and easy to remove.

What is your special Japanese space?

Kids room

I bought a Nagomi Cube to have a tatami room in my living room as I can’t fit an entire Japanese-style room in my apartment. Everytime my grandchildren visit my home, they spend time in my Nagomi Cube, playing games and laying around with toys. Closing the shoji door is great for making a quiet space when they take a nap. When I want to sleep on a tatami mat instead of a bed, I pull out a futon and the cube becomes my bedroom.

Japanese room

When I stayed at a traditional ryokan inn in Japan, I fell in love with Japanese rooms. I never thought it would be so easy to create a Japanese room in my home with the Nagomi Cube. I had already bought a tatami mat, but it's so much easier to make a room with walls. This product is absolutely perfect for my yoga room. I've also been trying out tea ceremonies recently. The Nagomi Cube is the most relaxing and peaceful space in my house.

Home Office

Working from home has become Covid normal, but online meetings can be difficult with children. The easy installation of the Nagomi Cube was great and for the first time I had my own space in the house. The 2m square size is perfect and I was able to fit my existing desk in and have four walls covered with shoji screens. It's perfect for a home office, but I'm looking forward to taking it to the office and installing it when lockdown is over!

Hobby room

I asked Nagomi Design to install a table against the wall to create a reading space. They made a fantastic table which is foldable and can be stored away when not in use. Our floor is tiled, so we made a tatami floor inside the cube to create a relaxing space. When I close the lattice door, it gives me my own special Japanese space.
